Debt is something that has plagued Americans for years. Today the debt is almost 2 trillion dollars! The majority of households have $25,000 debt. This is expected to increase over the next year. President Bush has been very open to the fact that many citizens are struggling financially. He has created the stimulus package, which consists of the American people receiving money to boost the economy. Although it will help, unfortunately it will not solve the majority of financial problems that many of us experience on a daily basis.

The economy is in trouble right now and so are our pocketbooks. It seems that everything is rising in price including daily expenses. The extra money that we are suddenly spending on gas and groceries is beginning to take a toll and draining any savings that we might have. To make matters more troubling we still have to pay our credit card debts and mortgages.
